Saturday we went to the Georgia Aquarium. This was Link’s 4th visit, and the best one yet.
We got a late start, after Link’s (and mommy and daddy’s) nap. We drove to the MARTA station and took the choo-choo to the CNN center. From there we walked (and strolled) to the aquarium. It was a beautiful day.
We got to the Aquarium about quarter to 5, and went in the annual pass holder’s entrance. There was a short line to get our new ID cards, then we headed inside. They close at 6. It was not crowded at all, and it was great to be able to see everything without the long queue.
We parked the stroller and Link led the way into the tropical fish exhibit. He went from one display to the next, pointing out the fish and really having a great time. It was great seeing him really enjoying himself.
After the tropical fish, we went to the big Ocean exhibit (with the giant tank and the whale shark.) Link had a great time on the moving sidewalk through the acrylic tunnel. Then when we got to the viewing room, he went right to the front and sat down next to a little girl. He had a great time watching the giant groupers swim by right in front of him, and pointing to the fish on the little girl’s guide brochure.
Next we headed to the cold water area to see the belugas, otters and penguins. We went outside to see the sea lions (who were napping). Then when we came back inside they announced that they were closing soon, so we made our way to the exit. Back into the stroller and back to the train home.
It was a nice outing for mom and dad, and it was great to see Link really enjoy himself.
