Day Six - Segovia
Our last day sightseeing in Spain was great! Special thanks to Angel and Beth (and little Alex) for taking us around!
Church near where we parked
View of Aqueduct as we approach
Built by the Romans around 50 BC. There is no mortar holding the bricks together. It spans 813 km.
Closer...
Closest!
View through the Aqueduct at storks nesting on the building across
the way
Not sure what this is besides old
Cathedral
Commissioned by Carlos I in 1525
A shot of the cathedral with the Plaza Mayor in the foreground
More Cathedral
This is a sign on a convent.
Only interesting because it is dated March 19, and that was the day we saw it.
Another old church and new cars
One note about the cars: The streets here were so narrow, we literally had to hug the walls to allow them to pass!
